Rating the Redskins by position

Back when I was doing my position previews prior to the preseason I assigned each position group a confidence level on a scale of 1 to 10.  These are entirely subjective, but even after everything that's happened in training camp and the preseason I think they still pretty much approximate how good I feel about each part of the team.

A couple things to keep in mind:
- On this scale 5 is considered to be average; it's not like in school where a 50% is a failing grade.  So a confidence rating of 4 is only kind of bad.
- If you click the links in each position it will take you to the original position preview post.  Keep in mind that these were started before preseason started and finished before the first preseason game, so alot of personel changes and other developments have taken place.  But in no case has anything changed that radically altered my perception of a given position's strength or weakness.

Defensive line: 4
Linebackers: 5.5
Defensive backs: 7
Offensive line: 4.5
Running backs: 5
Wide receivers: 3
Tight ends: 8
Quarterbacks: 6.5
Special teams: 7

So I want your opinion - where am I overly pessimistic, and where have I overrated the Redskins?

  1. I think D-line is better than that, if Haynesworth plays motivated. And I would rank the D-backs a bit lower.

  2. I am not so high on special teams. Gano is still unproven. We have a new long snapper. Redskins fans were spoiled by Albright. We all remember the last bad redskins snap.....thank you Dan Turk.
