In fact, I knew the Chiefs game was going to be a fiasco. And, even though I originally intended not to watch it, I heard there was snow, so I couldn't help but watch.

The game was like watching a train wreck of epic proportions.

It was the worst display of special teams I've ever seen. The team as a whole was unprepared. Basic football skills like tackling were missing from the likes of Baccari Rambo and other players on special teams and defense. Then, there's the woeful offense that could only put up 10 points.

While posting about the game on facebook, it dawned on me that the main reason why I watched the Redskins on Sunday, was so that I could laugh at them and make jokes at their expense on facebook.

It was a rather surprising revelation, considering that my dad raised me to be a die-hard fan. My poor father, I can only imagine what his reactions would be if he were alive to see all the dysfunction this team has gone through since Snyder took over. Bless his soul and count him lucky that he passed away in '98--missing all 6 coaching changes in the last 15 years, and the debacles that surrounded them.

I honestly believe that this team will not win a Super Bowl with Dan Snyder, unless he truly matures and gives in to staying out of football operations.

Dan Snyder thrust McNabb onto Shanahan. Dan Snyder wanted the Albert Haynesworth situation to work out. Dan Snyder forced Shanny to trade up for RG3. Dan Snyder, Dan Snyder, Dan Snyder.

Like you said, Shanahan is at fault in this regime, too. But, who put him in charge?

Dan Snyder.

It is a disconcerting feeling to realize that you just don't care anymore. But, after so many years of being the laughing stock of the league, I don't blame you for it.

The Redskins made us this way. They've trained us to be fixated on and enjoy the dysfunction, the drama, and yes, even the piss poor level of play.

They have made us numb.Kenhttp://www.rock-fit.comnoreply@blogger.com
